The Way Church of Illumination is a Christ-centered Christian community devoted to following Jesus Christ, seeking truth through Scripture and thoughtful inquiry, and living according to principles of peace, compassion, integrity, service, and love.
We believe Jesus Christ is our Savior and the center of our faith. His life, teachings, death, and resurrection guide our relationship with God and our way of living.
Members and participants in our spiritual community are known as Companions of the Way—people committed to walking in truth, growing in faith, serving others, and pursuing a life centered on Christ.

The Way Church of Illumination is devoted to the in-depth study of Scripture and the historical world in which Christianity emerged. We examine the Bible alongside ancient historical sources, early Christian writings, archaeology, and the work of respected scholars. Sources such as Pliny the Younger, Josephus, Tacitus, and other writers of the ancient world may be studied to better understand the historical setting surrounding Jesus Christ and the earliest Christian communities.
We believe sincere faith need not fear sincere inquiry. Seeking truth is both a spiritual journey and an educational calling—an opportunity to draw closer to our Heavenly Father through prayer, study, reason, reflection, and a willingness to continue learning.
We believe the human body should be honored as a temple of the Holy Spirit. Caring for our physical health is therefore part of spiritual stewardship. Companions of the Way are encouraged to make thoughtful choices concerning nutrition, exercise, rest, cleanliness, harmful substances, and other practices that affect physical and spiritual well-being. We seek not perfection, but a life that honors the body God has given us.
